Capital leaves clues. Here’s where I’m looking.

Originally published in the Stock Savvy Dad newsletter on May 26, 2026. One thing I’ve learned as an investor is that capital leaves clues. Government officials, hedge funds, CEOs. They’re not always right. But when multiple people with access, influence, and long term visibility keep showing up in the same sectors, I pay attention. Then I do my own research from there. AI infrastructure has my attention right now. Everyone knows Nvidia. But I’m more interested in the companies that make Nvidia possible. Think of it like the gold rush. The miners got the headlines but the people selling the shovels made consistent money. TSM is a company I’ve believed in for a while. They manufacture the advanced chips that power Nvidia, Apple, AMD and virtually every other major player in tech. No real competitor exists at their level. If AI continues to grow TSM wins almost by default. It’s up over 100% in the past year as of this writing. Arista Networks is another one worth watching. Think of them as the highway system between cities. Nvidia builds the cities. But without the highways connecting them nothing moves. That’s what Arista does for AI data centers. Most casual investors have never heard of them. That’s usually a good thing. It’s up 55% over the past year as of this writing. Space exploration is the other sector I’m watching closely. The government is investing heavily in it and the commercial side is heating up fast. Rocketlab is a company I’ve had my eye on for a while and about a month ago I took a calculated position on it. The long term story is compelling. SpaceX is the obvious name in this space. But as I wrote about last week there are companies I won’t invest in because they don’t align with my values. SpaceX falls into that category for me. The opportunity might be real. But not every opportunity is worth taking. Notice where serious money is moving and ask yourself why.
